Intermodal / Port In & Out – Steady Work
NGL Transportation is currently seeking experienced Owner Operators and Carriers in the Mobile, AL area for intermodal (chassis) port in & out deliveries.
✅ Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year OTR experience within the past 3 years (CDL required)
Minimum 6 months intermodal chassis port in & out delivery experience
Mobile, AL area residents preferred
Safety-minded and responsible drivers only
🚛 OWNER OPERATORS
Operate under NGL Authority
Requirements:
Camera system & ELD device required
Must carry Non-Trucking Liability Insurance
Insurance Provided by NGL:
Auto Liability: $1,000,000
Cargo Insurance: $250,000
Trailer Interchange: $30,000
Deductions:
$800/month (insurance)
$140/month (Occupational Accident Insurance)
Rates (Yard → CNEE → Yard):
SHORTER – $600.00
Note: The rate listed for SHORTER is provided as an example. Rates are set per delivery city and may vary depending on the destination.
💰 Additional Pay Opportunity:
If the driver returns to the port after delivery and pulls the next day’s container at the same time (same trip), an additional rate will be paid for the extra move.
🚛 CARRIERS (Your Own DOT & Insurance)
Operate under your own authority.
Minimum Insurance Requirements:
Auto Liability: $1,000,000
Cargo: $250,000
Trailer Interchange: $30,000
Rates (Per Delivery City):
SHORTER – $633.00
SHORTER (Port → Delivery → Direct Port Return) – $833.00
Note: SHORTER city is shown as an example. Rates are determined based on each delivery city.
💰 Additional Move Pay:
If delivery is completed and the driver returns to the port to pull the next container during the same trip, additional compensation will apply.
