Eastern Red Cedar is an aromatic evergreen lumber that sports an incredible amount of character! It has a fine grain, gorgeous red coloring, and plenty of knots. The trees are very slow growing, so the boards are usually smaller as well. Because it smells so amazing, historically, this cedar has been used in clothing chests and for paneling in closets. However, its coloring is so eye-catching that it definitely doesn’t deserve to just be used in the closet! This tongue and groove lumber can easily be used on walls and ceilings to bring character to any space you are looking to give a unique look to! Currently, our most available size is 1x6 boards with a tongue and groove joint and a v-groove (at the joint only) pattern on one side of the board and a beadboard pattern on the other. This size/pattern combination can really help give your home a traditional but rustic look. We also occasionally have 1x8 available in the same patterns.
Your lumber is sure to have a tremendous amount of beautiful character to it, as you can see in the pictures. The vast majority of what we carry is character grade finishing lumber. Even our higher-grade lumber has plenty of knots and character. We like to think that we carry beautiful wood with character for people who have great character.
PRICING:
We sell unopened packs at $5.25 per square foot, but when we split the pack, we charge $.10 more per sq ft at $5.35 per sq ft.
The packs of our cedar products all range in size from sometimes as little as roughly 300 sq feet to as large as 420 sq ft. Our goal is to find a pack that meets your needs, but if that's not possible, we will split it for you to get your sq ft.

Our inventory changes daily and we would highly encourage you to reserve wood before you come. We can't guarantee we will have anything in stock if you just drive to us. We are open on Tuesday through Friday from 8-5 CST and on Saturday from 8-1 CST by appointment only. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
