THE TRAIL OF PAINTED PONIES "LET IT SNOW" PONY/HORSE #12285 BY WESTLAND, 2008 HOLIDAY COLLECTION, RETIRED.
Handcrafted The Trail of Painted Ponies "LET IT SNOW" numbered 2E/0,221. New in original box with styrofoam packing and attached tag of authenticity.
Beautiful painted holiday snowmen scenes on each side. It was retired November 2010 at number 2E/2,313. This solid resin horse is approximately 7" tall and 8" long. The box is in very good condition. The back part of the tag of authenticity is bent from the original packaging but is still attached and legible. The tag reads, in part:
"During the holidays as a child, all I wanted for Christmas was a big fluffy snowfall so I could build a perfect snowman, decorated with a hat and scarf, sticks for arms, a carrot for a nose, and big black buttons of coal. But living in the Midwest, coal wasn't readily available, so mom always had a tin full of buttons for the occasion. Now, as an adult, this Iowa artist still finds something magical about "big fluffy snowfalls," and created a Pony designed to take everyone back to a time and place where they too waited with anticipation for the holidays and the chance to build that perfect snowman."
This very special holiday pony was designed by well-known The Trail of Painted Ponies artist, Vickie Knepper.
It has never been displayed. It was removed and inspected when originally purchased and then repackaged and stored in a smoke free, climate controlled room until recently, when it was removed from the box for another inspection and for photos.
See the photos for more details. Will meet in Daphne at Walmart or Target or in midtown Mobile.
