In June, long time friend and sailor Norman “Griff” Griffin died after a long bout with bone cancer. His wonderful pride and joy “Mad Dog” is now up for sale. I am selling her for his widow. I have looked over the boat and I feel that she simply needs a good bath in order to be up and running. This will be a bit of a project, however, as Griff (understandably) neglected her for the last couple of years.
1985 Soverel 36 (USCG Documented)
Custom wing keel
Large sail inventory
She needs a bottom job
She could use some scrubbing, buffing and cleaning
The cushions are in great shape
The Ray Marine Instruments are in great shape
The Universal engine is in fair shape
Griff was a mechanical and electrical genius and his boat reflects his workmanship.
I think that she’s a steal at $10,000.
Call me to answer any questions. She is berthed on Bayou Bonfouca next to the bridge in Slidell, LA.
