I stay pretty busy so please only inquire if you are a serious & qualified buyer ready to purchase. With that said, below is a little more information about this particular AirCam.
***Do not expect me to consider, or even reply to a low ball offer. It’s a good price already. But, I would be negotiable for a quick, simple sale.
I’m hesitant to sell at all because it’s so much fun to fly. But I really don’t need an AirCam right now.
I am open to aircraft trades.
History:
This plane was built by a friend and his son. Besides ranching, they owned and ran a machine shop building Nascar engine parts. I did some of the phase 1 flight testing in 2001, including 1st flight. My friend died about 6-8 years ago and the plane sat and was neglected for a few years. I bought the plane a little over a year ago when the son decided he wasn’t going to fly anymore. Lots of recent work has been done but it could still use some more mechanical and cosmetic TLC. It is flying (last flown 11/8/25), and I wouldn’t hesitate to fly it across the country tomorrow. Neither my friend or his son were FAA paper work oriented. Although I have most of original receipts, binders of documents, build manuals, build pics, etc, they didn’t keep much in the log book for the aircraft. The first conditional inspection, the DAR sign off, the phase 1 sign off, a few entires here and there and last year’s conditional inspection I believe is about it in the log book. It’s not that they are missing, they just never wrote in them. I do know the history of the plane pretty good. The plane is priced accordingly for poor log books. It did get damaged early in its life. I don’t know the date of the last BRS pack but the son thought it was 4 or 5 years ago. The engines were maintained by a reputable Rotax service center. The plane is due a conditional inspection.
I am an instructor and can provide some transition training and/or ferry if needed.
