It really only needs a new hard drive. I can boot and run from other drives, it just doesn't recognize the one in the machine. I have found new upgraded HD's for as low as $60. So this would be a good deal even after replacing the drive.
The computer does have a couple stickers on it. But you could get those off with a bit of mineral spirits or something like that.
It also comes with the charger and installation disks.

Last time I moved, there was an interlock error that forced me to take it apart, and blow it out (which needs to be done anyway) and then the error cleared (a component was probably knocked loose during the move). Anyway, we moved last year and it's still got that error on it. I've gravitated away from the computer stuff over time and want to get rid of it. Check Ebay auctions. This serve with less than I have in it is going for almost $3,000. Ridiculous. Anyway, I just want it gone.

dell fully supports overclocking on these systems, ( thats what they built them for)

i only overclocked it 1 time buy changing the multiplyer from 9 to 10 ( 3.33ghz ) just long enough to run 3dmark06 and it scored over 16000 but it scores 15000 + on stock settings add more ram ( 8gb max) and another 9800gx2 and it should reach 20000 with no problem.

dell dose not make these systems anymore becaus they are pushing every 1 to get there alienware now and they are geting rareer every day

you could probably build a system like this for a little bit less but you will not get the warranty and support that a dell xps has to offer

and buy the way this processor out performs the new core I7 975 extreme ( $1000 +) in half of the benchmarks out today and out performs the I7 920 ($500 + ) in every benchmark
